Pastor Mark
Smith was born in Alexander City, Alabama. He became a Christian
at the age of 12, and was called to preach at the age of 17. After
graduating from Bible College in 1987, he became the Associate Pastor
of Liberty Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. In 1991, he
became the Associate Pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church in St. Petersburg,
Florida. He became the Senior Pastor of Highland Park Baptist Church
in Albany, Georgia in 1995, and served until the year 2000. In 2000,
he came to Colonial Hills as the Associate Pastor, and became the
Senior Pastor in June of 2003.
Pastor Smith
has extensive experience in virtually all phases of church ministry.
He is a musician as well as a preacher.
His wife Nellie
has faithfully served by his side. Her warm personality and willing
heart has added a wonderful dimension to his ministry.
